Job Order Contracting (JOC) is a proven construction procurement process that is ideal for use on renovation and alteration work, responding quickly to emergencies, addressing a backlog of deferred repairs and straightforward new construction. Instead of dealing with the time and expense of bidding projects separately, a JOC contract has already been competitively awarded for an indefinite number of projects, enabling contractors to respond quickly and construction to begin faster.

Astra Construction Services (ACS) is a general contracting company that has the ability to complete a wide range of construction projects across multiple industries. Our projects typically range from $25,000 to $6.5 million in contract value, and the scope of work can range from everyday construction to complex, multi-phased projects. Types of projects include:

  • Site improvements such as sidewalks, paving, parking lot construction, parks and recreational areas, infrastructure, additions and upgrades, etc.

  • Building renovations of any type or system upgrades, i.e electrical & mechanical.

  • New ground-up construction

Our experienced team has the knowledge and capability to complete all construction needs with quality, while giving customers the flexibility to tailor projects to their budget through our Job Order Contracting (JOC) program. JOC is a contract for a fixed term and/or maximum dollar amount for performing various job order contracts. JOC can do it all or as little as needed. This allows agencies that use this contracting method to bypass the competitive bid process and procure directly with us.
